The Indonesian Wind Energy Association held the 2nd National Conference ( MUNAS AEAI ke-2 ) on Wednesday 18 December 2019 at the Mercure Hotel Gatsu Jakarta, followed by dozens of AEAI member companies. The 2nd National Conference was preceded by the Focus Group Discussion on Small Scale Hybrid Power Plant (PLTB Hybrid Skala Kecil).
Agung Hermawan was re-elected by acclamation as Chairman of the AEAI for the period 2019-2023. As elected chairman, Agung will form AEAI's full management in the longest 60 days.
The submission of the AEAI flag as the National Conference Ceremonial was handed over by the MUNAS chairperson Chandra Soemitro, CEO of Hywind Energy Solution to Agung Hermawan.
Among the work programs proposed by members and discussed at the National Conference meeting and subsequently will become the work programs of the AEAI board of management for the period 2019-2023 are; new President Regulation on price and accelerating Renewable Energy, small-scale wind power, pricing of hybrid wind power, local content ( TKDN ).
The National Conference also agreed to accept members who are not or have not been incorporated in Indonesia, with limited voting rights, may not become the Chair and Executive Board of AEAI.
AEAI established at the end of 2014 at the request of the government to streamline communication between Wind Power IPP and the government, especially regarding the price of electricity from PLTB and related policies / regulations.
Among AEAI's missions are; to Encourage the creation of a conducive investment climate in the development and utilization of wind energy, Escorting Policy and Government's target in the development of Wind Energy.
Among the member benefits are; can give their views, suggestions and opinions as a business player to be channelled and articulated to the government / regulator through the Association, Getting the extensive business network, etc
